Choose the item first
Copper Shortsword and an accessory do not share the same modifier pool. Select the exact item to see its available reforges, then mark one or more outcomes you would keep.
Separate chance from certainty
Expected attempts are an average, not a guarantee. The chance after a chosen number of rolls answers a different question: how likely you are to have reached a target by then. Keeping several acceptable modifiers increases that chance.
Budget for the next roll
The current modifier affects item value and therefore the next reforge price. Discounts and shop price adjustments also matter. The planner includes changing prices after unsuccessful rolls instead of multiplying one displayed price forever.
